Overview

Built to be an improvement.

Hammer tough. The shell is silicon bronze nominally 1/4" thick. Laser scanning, CAD file editing, and 3D printing created the perfect pattern to make investment casting molds. Well balanced, extremely comfortable, with slightly negative buoyancy, the Gen-6 Gladiator is a joy to dive with a great field of view from the 1/2" thick Lexan faceplate.

Separated Exhaust System

Exhaust gases do not pass through the demand regulator, resulting in drastically less carbon dioxide retention, every breath is fresh and clean, with less venting, less faceplate fog, and lower gas consumption.

Helmet Shell

Cast silicon bronze, nominally 1/4" thick

Demand Regulator

Poseidon "Xstream" housed in machined brass, NORSOK approved, C.E. certified, EN-250 cold water approved, EN-1533 approved, appr. to 656' for SCUBA, optimum operating pressure 125 psi over bottom. The easiest breathing regulator in production, quiet by design and simple to service

Airtrain

Gen-6n comes with tungum tubing. Copper tubing or Poseidon scuba hose optional.

Sideblock Manifold

Based on a Swagelok valve: machined brass body with a 1/4" stainless steel valvestem (not 1/8" chrome-plated brass). Adaptable plumbing for umbilical over or under the shoulder, optional drysuit port. Plumb as "A" or "B" style block.

Exhaust System

Exhaust gases do NOT pass through the regulator, so CO2 retention is drastically lower than on helmets that exhaust through the regulator. Every breath is fresh and clean: more production, less venting to clear CO2 and faceplate fog, and far less hyperventilating on heliox dives during hard labor, and less gas consumption. Gen-6n has dual valve exhausts for protection in dirty water.

Comms

Standard 8-ohm speakers and microphone, heavy-duty brass commpost for 2-wire or Marsh Marine 4-wire 2-way comms. The 2-wire comm posts are machined brass with a large wire bore in the fat base, not the tiny hole in a skinny screw post like the competition. Superior comms due to bronze shell acoustics and the extremely quiet Poseidon Xstream regulator.

Cams & Neckdam

Similar in arrangement to Savoy, Miller, and others. Secure cam locks up by pull-pins (Gen-6n) or nylon strap/buckles (Gen-6a).

Head Cushion

Attached by velcro instead of snaps to prevent ripping of fabric
